We collect only what is needed to run InsightQ for you:

• Account information — your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider (such as Google) when you choose to use one.
• Portfolio data you enter — tickers, holdings, quantities, cost basis, watchlist entries, and preferences such as currency and onboarding choices.
• Usage signals — recently viewed tickers, milestones, and basic event counts used to power features and improve the product.

Portfolio holdings, watchlists, and profile data are stored in our managed backend database, scoped to your user account. Row-level security policies ensure that only you (and our service infrastructure acting on your behalf) can read or modify your records.

Market quotes, news, and AI insights are fetched on demand from third-party providers and are not used to build advertising profiles.

We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate product usage — for example, which features are used most often. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third‑party advertising trackers on InsightQ.

InsightQ relies on third-party providers to deliver core functionality, including authentication, hosted database and storage, market data APIs, news APIs, and AI model providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

• All traffic is served over HTTPS.
• Authentication is handled by a managed identity provider; passwords are never stored by InsightQ directly.
• Database access is protected by row-level security policies so that users can only access their own records.
• Server-side secrets and API keys are stored in a secrets manager and never exposed to the browser.
• URLs rendered from third-party feeds are validated before display to block unsafe protocols.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us through the About page. Upon verification, we will delete your profile, holdings, watchlist, and related records from our active systems. Some data may remain in routine encrypted backups for a limited retention period before being overwritten.

InsightQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
